We are under construction, literally. However, I promise you that soon enough my blog will be up and running and I will be showing off our progress on the house as well as inundating you with very delicious, very high calorie recipes. For the moment, my life is in complete disarray and I still haven't managed to unpack the display of boxes that are now decorating our new house.
On a funny note, I spent 20 minutes the other day trying to track down my Q-Tips. Now I don't know about you but Q-Tips are like my version of vitamins, I need them! If I don't have them I turn into the swamp monster and run around screaming that the water in my ears is overtaking my brain. So! no matter how late I had to be for work I was going to make sure that MY BRAIN DIDN'T START TO FLOOD; much like the Nile... and THIS is how my paranoia works...
Now, luckily for me, my very organized sister helped us pack and reminded me to write labels on each box indicating which room those items belonged in. In retrospect, I realize that moving from a 4 room house to a bagillion room house can make this difficult because I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO PUT ANYTHING. Those 4 categories are just too fucking general! Anyway, back to the Q-Tips... I'm thinking to myself "oh, well those damn Q-Tips must be with the bathroom stuff", right? right? WRONG! Those tricky little Q-Tips found their way into a box labeled "Fun Box". I kid you not.... and this is my life.
I guess my logic was I'd actually open that box and then ah-HA... there would be my gorgeous, wonderful, fabulous Q-Tips. However, I failed to realize that no one plays board games during the first week of moving into a new house... or ever... really. I clearly need to change my definition of "fun". So please don't mind me while I go crochet a doiley of my cat...
The first real challenge: finding that damn camera charger....
