First Day of Grownup School

So Andrew and I are going to see our first round of houses with our realtor tonight and I feel like it's my first day of high school. I'm all dressed up, I have butterflies and I'm nervously anxious to see how it's all going to turn out. All I need now is a new pair of shoes and BAM! it's like a repeat of my first day of high school except that there aren't any cute boys to worry about and the pimples I have don't bother me nearly as much.

But, I have to admit that during this whole process and the multiple phone calls with the realtor and the financial advisor and the mortgage planner... I've come to the realization that I may in fact be a 12 year stuck in a 25 year old body. Because honestly... I was feeling all confident until my dad called me to tell me about realtor fees and property taxes and insurance coverage and I'm all... wait? The mortgage payment fluctuates over time? WHAT? My car payment was the same every month... you must be lying. BUT, no... sadly, no. Talk about continued education...

Aside from all those thoughts that boggle my mind and confuse the crap out of me... I'm longing for a fabulous post-Halloween party and if we don't make the Halloween cut off then I'm aiming for a Christmas party. Well, so long as I don't run away from this whole process due to my fear of ARMs and APRs and interest rates and debt to income ratios and poorly mixed gin and tonics<--- !that's a valid fear!. So if you're my friend and you're reading this... be prepared bitches! (Minus you Olga- we'll have a separate party for you when you're in town regardless of where I live, xo)

P.S. All advice is greatly appreciated, this is a hardcore learning process. Feel free to comment!
