That Thing You Do

One of the many reasons that I love my Boyfriend is because he encourages me to do things that I wouldn't otherwise allow myself to do. For example, today I had the uncanny urge to buy myself not one, but THREE, shirts from Lucky Brand Jeans (30% off online, can't beat that, right? Coupon Code: 9SEPAFF) Well anyway, I had my shopping cart all set up and then it happened; my frugal freakout! The guilt creeps in and I panic because I HATE spending money; food? sure. friends? sure. alcohol? most definitely! clothing? no. shoes? no. makeup? no. hair care? no. nail care? no. I can not stand to spend money on myself because my rational mind tells me that if it's not an investment and it's not a necessity then there's no need for it. Ugh! I'm a girl! These things should not bother me.

So aside, I call my Boyfriend to ask him what he thinks of the whole situation and he goes "You deserve to spend some of your hard earned money on yourself, Kelly. You NEVER spend money on yourself... and Kohls is not the ONLY place to shop". I felt better, but I wasn't quite sure yet. Then he pulled the ultimate on me (I could hear him sigh in defeat) "Lucky Brand is better quality, the clothes will last longer and the money you spend will be worth it in the long run".
